What Hungry Canadian Is

Hungry Canadian is a Canadian-owned marketplace that connects customers with independent local restaurants and businesses. Each business manages its own menu, pricing, availability, and preparation times.

Orders can be placed for pickup or delivery depending on the business and your location. All order details are shown before checkout so you can review everything in advance.

Placing an Order

  1. Browse businesses available in your area.
  2. Select a business and review its menu.
  3. Choose items and customize where available.
  4. Select pickup or delivery if offered.
  5. Review your order and place it.

What Happens After You Order

Your order is sent to the business immediately for preparation. Preparation time is controlled by the business.

If delivery is selected, a courier may be assigned. Timing can vary during busy periods.

Tip: Before ordering, confirm delivery availability, fees, and ETA on the checkout screen.

Where to Track Your Order

You can view your order status, timeline (with timestamps), receipt, and order details directly in the Hungry Canadian app or website:

  • In the mobile apps (iOS/Android): AccountMy Orders
  • On the website: select the account icon (top right on desktop; bottom right on mobile)

Each order also includes a Re-Order option for faster repeat ordering.

  • Delivery: Pending → Accepted → Ready → Delivered
  • Pickup: Pending → Accepted → Ready → Collected → Complete

Pickup: You collect your order directly from the business at the estimated time.

Delivery: Delivery availability and fees vary by business and location and are shown before checkout.

Changes, Issues, or Cancellations

Orders are sent to businesses immediately, so changes or cancellations may not be possible once preparation begins.
